Serving the homeless is something the whole family can do. Make up PB&J sandwiches and distribute them to the homeless in downtown SLC. Meet at the Draper Campus every 3rd Sunday of the month from 5-7pm.
Care Portal connects the needs of distressed families and children in the Salt Lake area with the local Christian community by way of Utah social workers. It’s an amazing way to show the love of Christ to those in need. If you are interested in being alerted when needs arise (things like beds, children’s items, etc.) please contact Suzie Wiebe
COMPASSION IN ACTION
Compassion in Action (CIA) is putting Christ’s love into action by helping those who find themselves needing some extra help. Whether it is providing meals, running errands or providing other assistance, CIA is a network of those willing to care for the needs of others.
Healing Nations facilitates short-term mission teams for SMCC to accomplish hands-on compassion projects with our partners in Haiti and Guatemala. They also provide medical specific mission opportunities to Guatemala twice a year in January and July. For more information on upcoming trips, email

Do you feel overwhelmed by all of the poverty in the world? You can make a difference to one Haitian family by sponsoring them and giving them an opportunity to escape poverty through a weekly discipleship program called Truth Centered Transformation. Build relationships with a monthly Skype call using an interpreter to communicate. Family Sponsorship is $70 per month.
