HIS HANDS SUPPORT MINISTRIES: (His Hands for Haiti) (His Hands for Guatemala) His Hands Support Ministries’ goal is to walk alongside the local church in impoverished areas of the world. HH gives special emphasis to meeting the needs of children through a sponsorship program that provides uniforms, tuition and a daily meal for each sponsored child. They strive to demonstrate the love of Christ through works of service to these churches as well as to other Christian missions and missionaries in impoverished areas of the world.
SMCC has partnered with L’eglise Baptiste de Terrier Rouge (Haiti) and the Galilean Church of San Lucas (Guatemala) with the facilitation of Hungry For Life. HFL will lead teams from SMCC on short term trips to these two locations over the next few years, with the intention of developing relationships and becoming vested in the communities and the church leadership. Our high school group traveled to Guatemala in July 2011 and were able to experience being the hands and feet of Christ as they built stoves for impoverished families, and also ran Vacation Bible School for the local children.
